The Bible's unique business advice Featured

One year I read the Bible through with the purpose of watching for all the references to business. You'd be surprised what you discover about God and his business plan, etc., etc. The next time you read a passage from the Bible or have your Bible time, ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you about business implications from what you are reading.

For example, I read Psalm 25 the other day. It has some great insights if you are in distress and worrying about your enemies (the competition, the economy, etc.).

The psalmist says, "Let not my enemies triumph over me." And the psalmist then says, "Show me your ways, O Lord." Well, of course, the Lord is faithful. He will show what to do. Just a few things in the psalm that will help you win in business are as follows:

Verse 9 says, "The humble He guides in justice, /And the humble He teaches His way." So to have justice in your business transactions so that people don't take advantage of you, put on the cloak of humility. And God will also teach you what to do next.

Verse 14 says, "The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him." So, take your eyes off your enemies and negative circumstance and walk in the fear of the Lord. Do you need a new business idea? Let God reveal the "secret" as you stay focused on Him.

Verse 15 says, "My eyes are ever toward the Lord, /For He shall pluck my feet out of the net." How do you escape disaster in your business? Keep your eyes on the Lord.

Verse 21 says, "Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, /For I wait for You." Do you want your business to survive? Practice integrity and honesty. And  keep your trust on the Lord.

OK, that was just one psalm. See how easy it is for the Lord to give you direction for your business right from the Word? Have your mind and spirit open to receiving direction for your business whenever you open the Bible. Good things will result.
