We then contacted our network of local church leaders in Panama, and they put us in contact with Nelson, a friend of a local pastor. Nelson owns a small business. He charges $110 a day per boat! His boats are not as luxurious as the resort’s, but they are clean and safe, and we caught just as many fish!
As we did the math, we realized we could make some money there and help folks with jobs! We started looking at the possibly of starting a small business with Nelson. We’ll buy some boats and tackle. We are looking to subcontract or even make Nelson a part owner as he runs the fish guide business. We will capitalize and help market our business together. We may or may not do the business after our due diligence, but we are being obedient to Him opening a door.
Bottom line: Even when you go on vacation, watch where God opens doors…listen to the Holy Spirit for His promptings. Do the due diligence, but also be submitted to His Holy Spirit! For the Kingdom.
