The Vision and Mission Matters!

Sometimes we think everything is going just right, but if we would take a closer look, we might see things hindering our advancement.  Success can be a covering over the things we are currently doing wrong.  It is important to remember that we aren't Christians with businesses but Christians serving a Christian entity.  Everything that we have must be given over to the Lord so that He is Lord over everything.  With this in mind how much time is given to reviewing the vision and mission statement you wrote in your business plan?

Or are you so busy working that there is no time to dream and plan for your dreams?  In our first KBA roundtable Rick Joyner spoke about the Chinese who have developed 1000-year plans for their businesses and lives.  Now it is clear these people will not live 1000 years, but their businesses will after they are gone.  And the overall plans set forth will keep the company advancing toward the overall goal.

The vision should be prayed over by a group of intercessors so that the company is presented before the Lord on a regular basis.  Things such as money problems must be attacked as items that are attempting to stop the vision from being completed.

There is no need for me to quote a great deal of scriptures to you since you have heard most of them hundreds of times.  But I do have one question: how often do you speak against the very vision and mission of the business? What do you say about your customers, your product line or shipping, your money supply or lack there of? Is it positive or negative in relationship to your vision statement? Could this be why we are admonished to write the vision and make plain so that we will not speak against the very thing we are working to accomplish?

Take out the vision and mission plan in the near future to review it and to determine where you are in the process.  Most buildings have signs on the walls indicating where you are in the building and how to exit if there is a problem.  Find out where you are and how to redirect or get out of the rat race toward the accomplishment of your goals.
