Let me extend a hardy welcome to all the Kingdom Business Association members. We are excited about our new launch and are looking forward to mighty things coming forth. We feel this will be a place where kingdom shaking strategies come forth and also where strategic alliances are formed.
Let me first start by thanking everyone for the wonderful response we have had. We have not yet released any marketing but have gained some great members already. Frankly, the response has been tremendous and we are taking this as a sign that there is a great need in the body of Christ.
Through our writing we hope to be able to share in a very candid way truths of the kingdom and timely words.
Let me tell you about one event that has been making an impact on my life this week. Rick Joyner and I recently had a chance to have lunch with Oral Roberts in his home. It was a great honor and a blessing for both of us. Oral is ninety and in great health. He is working on two new books with one planned to be finished this fall. He meets weekly with leaders from all over the world who come to his home in California where he disciples them and helps them to sort through the issues of life. All at ninety! As we spoke together and had mutual time of prayer I realized how much he had executed of the plan for his life. Founding and building ORU; mentoring its graduates all over the world (he even mentioned that his present physician is an ORU Graduate); developing a network of television and radio programs with, at its peak, over a 1,000,000 active partners; and authoring numerous bestselling books. As I listened to Oral reflect back on his life and talk about how fulfilled, vital and at peace he is presently, I felt like I had a glimpse of a great principle that he had used to accomplish so much.
As he spoke he mentioned over and over again the principle of “Seed Faith” that has guided him for over sixty years. He believes it, lives it and has organized his life around this principle. Simply stated it has three components. First God is our supplier, second we must place a “demand” on our seed, and third we must expect a harvest.
Let’s take a closer KBA view of this simple but profound truth. About six years ago, I heard the voice of God speak to me clearly to begin to review the teachings and materials of the “fathers” of the faith movements. I clearly felt led that there were some deep and profound truths that had been put aside. Oral’s view of seed faith is in my opinion profound in its simplicity. First, God is our supplier. That’s right- it all starts and ends there for us KBA world changers “it is Jehovah who giveth thee power to create wealth… and not yourself.” We see in Jeremiah 17, God makes a clear distinction between blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord… and cursed is the man who trusts… in the arm of the flesh. One of the juxtapositions used says of the God trusting man “even in draught he will not seesaw to yield fruit. That speaks of a continual prosperity that is not dependant or correlated to the world surrounding them. Let’s face it, the indicators are not bullish in the foreseeable future. … but is that where our trust is? And of the flesh trusting man it says “even when prosperity comes he will not see it” Wow! Can we afford even for a moment to step out into our own devices and strengths to try to accomplish things? Even if we do they may crumble and turn to ash because of the lack of proper foundation. Now I know as a KBA member you are smart and have experience and are probably better than average looking, but without a continually looking to, crediting, and partnering for Gods provision our tendencies might be stronger than others to do things in our own strength. Let’s settle the matter now. Let’s make this our prayer… Lord we once and for all settle that you and you alone are our strength and provision. We thank you for our assets and faculties and realize that they also have come from you. We choose from this point on to glorify you with lives that are rich, hardy, and robust from your provision that flows through us.
Oral’s second word was that we must place a demand on our seed. First that means that we are planting “seeds”. Seed distribution is at the heart of the KBA. We are in the seed manufacturing and distribution business. So keep it up. Next - the “demand”. I think Oral has a great truth here. The demand speaks of a specific goal for our faith. In Hebrews 11:1 it says that faith is the substance of things hoped for. This demand that Oral helps us to attach is substance to the things we are believing for. It puts clarity and a goal to our faith.
Last, the third part is expecting the harvest. Here is a key that keeps us believing. After we have planted and put a demand on our seed we have to keep the seed vital and nourished by living in expectancy. In Luke 18 it speaks of the faith in who God is. “He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.” We must absolutely have a heart of expentancy. This needs to be developed and cultivated because of the negativity around us.
So lets Join Oral Roberts with a new zeal for seed faith, as he told me " it has never failed him in all his years" of doing Kingdom Business
Seeds contain all that is needed to bring forth first the stalk, then the bloom, and finally the fruit. Contained in the fruit are more seeds. Seed in Old Testament times was considered a very valuable commodity. Seed was more precious than fruit, (and still is to those who think it through). Seed has the potential to produce fruit perpetually. That is what I think Oral Roberts has been trying to help us understand for the past 60 years. Give your seed to God. He knows how hard it is to get, but he also knows it can produce fruit in our lives perpetually if we continue to sow that seed in faith as opposed to and eating it! Many times, we are tempted to eat the fruit as soon as we get a windfall in one area or the other. When we eat the fruit, we consume the seeds if we are not careful. Alternatively, we tend to hoard the seed because, like our Old Testament counterparts, we know how hard the seed is to get. Do we have it backwards
