Power to Gain Wealth

Friday, 13 June 2008 00:00| Written by Gene Strite

Deuteronomy 8:18 “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.” It is important to note that the Lord does not give you wealth. The verse actually says that He gives you the power to get wealth. The word power is derived from the Hebrew word koach which means strength or ability.

The church, unfortunately, has struggled with idealism and presumption.

Finding Capital

Tuesday, 02 March 2010 00:00| Written by John Boneck

The credit crunch has dramatically changed the leverage equation and has forced many businesses to find new sources to protect the company and fuel growth. The crunch has stopped companies from investing in innovative products, in expansion, and in many other potential growth possibilities.

If credit lines and debt were the only ways to leverage a company, even more companies would be failing. But other resources can be leveraged. Take the resources found in humans, for example--human resources, if you will. For companies looking for any advantage in difficult economic times, mining human capital can be one important strategy.

For Such an Economic Time as This

Esther 4:13-14 records Mordecai's warning to Queen Esther after the king decreed to kill all the Jews: "Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king's palace any more than all the other Jews. For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" (NKJV)

America (and probably most of the world) is still looking at some really tough economic times ahead of us. Tough economic times are really God opportunities.

Distribution As Your Key to Success

I'm discovering that many of God's 21st -century ways of communication are different from what He spoke in the 20th century. He speaks in agreement with the counsel of His own will for the particular time frame. He's not driven to speak based on human need or input, but by divine purpose. Greatness allows Him to resist the temptation to unveil certain things before their appointed seasons. Nothing is premature, regardless of how opportunistically we batter the heavens in prayer. God's unveilings are completely in alignment with His appointments.
