Or imagine you’re a building contractor, competing with many others. And times are really tough. It seems no one is buying. Many competitors are going under. They’ve over-extended themselves or didn’t plan right or didn’t take good counsel. But imagine you’re not like them. You had Kingdom help setting up your business. You planned well. You thought long term and had a business model that was firm yet flexible, solid yet adaptable to changing conditions. As a result you are exceptional. You’re like the wise builder who built on a solid foundation so that when the heavy rains came (as they’re sure to), the building stood strong because its foundations were anchored on the Rock. Imagine that.
Or imagine you’re a Kingdom person doing well in business. But riches and success aren’t your drivers. They’re simply symbols to the business community that you are exceptional. Imagine you’re in the marketplace and you see a person with some extreme physical or emotional problems. Your eyes meet. And you can’t help but say, “I know silver or gold won’t solve your problem, but I have something better. In the name of Jesus stand up and be healed.” And it happens. Just imagine.
The apostle Paul, a Kingdom person himself, understood how and why all these imaginations work. He gave thanks to the Father “who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.” (Col. 1:12-13 NKJV) That’s worth imagining.
